Assuming it was the same egret and we were there to see it, on most days this bird would visit the pool of our rented holiday villa in the late afternoon.

The egret would have a drink and splash some water over itself then walk around the pool to feed on any insects trapped in the water. It would then have a walk around the garden before finally leaving.
